Hi everybody! My name is Philip, from Dublin, Ireland. I worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and cartoonist in Ireland before coming to Tokyo and becoming an art teacher at Frontier Kids in 2006.I later became a full time teacher at FrontierKids. I love working with children, and have two of my own. Aside from Art, my interests include a love of music, and martial arts. I earned a black belt in Kyokushin Karate in 2009, and that same year I opened a children’s branch of Kyokushin karate, affiliated with the hombu dojo and in collaboration with Frontier Kids, called Akebonobashi Dojo. The Dojo is still going strong. My first 13 years at Frontier Kids were a pleasure and a fulfilling and rewarding life experience I would never change for the world. Looking forward to year 14!

Hi! My name is Fernando, and I was born and raised in Brazil. I’m half Ukrainian and half Japanese. I’ve been living in Japan since 1996.
