The first week of June, from 3 to 7, was
~International awareness week~ at Frontier Global School.
This time the theme was Hungary.
During Hungary week, we did some coloring and crafts related to Hungary.
Children coloring the Hungarian flag that has three colors in it, red, white and green.
The main event of the week happened on Wednesday, June 5th.
There was a presentation given on Hungary.
The children paid attention during the presentation.
First, they find the exact location of Hungary.
Then, the children learned the basics of Hungarian language. First, to greet each other “Szia”
meaning “Hello” in English.
After that, they practiced how to introduce themselves in Hungarian. Just say your name and
“vagyok” meaning “I am”.
Finally they learned how to say “thank you” in Hungarian.
They took turn and everybody had a chance to practice one of these phrases.
After that, the children learned about the famous buildings and sightseeing spots of the
country. They enjoyed looking at the beautiful pictures of those old buildings.

Then the children enjoyed the colorful pictures introducing cuisine of Hungary. This country
has a wide variety of soups, stews and delicious looking cakes and deserts.

After the presentation we took group pictures class by class.
